Therapeutic Approach

I aim to gain a deeper understanding of the individual. I believe that patterns of relating to yourself and others are rooted in early experiences. In therapy, we explore the emotions, thoughts and beliefs that shape behaviour and the way in which you relate to yourself and others. I endeavour to create a strong therapeutic alliance by creating an environment that is empathic and non-judgemental.

In my corporate wellness talks and workshops, I take a practical yet compassionate approach, addressing key issues such as stress management, burnout prevention, and fostering emotional well-being in the workplace. My goal is to empower individuals and teams by creating a space for reflection, learning, and actionable strategies that promote mental health and resilience.

About Me

Before qualifying as a clinical psychologist, I practiced as an attorney at Webber Wentzel Attorneys and Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr. During my time in law, I found myself increasingly fascinated by the psychological dynamics that shape both personal and professional lives. This growing interest led me to study psychology part-time at the University of the Witwatersrand while continuing my legal career.

As I explored psychology further, it became clear that my true passion lay in understanding human behaviour and supporting mental health. I ultimately made the decision to leave the legal profession and pursue psychology full-time, completing my Honours and Master’s Degrees in Clinical Psychology at the University of the Witwatersrand.
